Add the feed widget to your theme

SocialSnap uses Shopify's Theme App Extensions, so you can add the widget without editing code.

  1. Go to Online Store → Themes in your Shopify admin
  2. Click "Customize" on your active theme
  3. Navigate to the page where you want to add the feed (e.g. Homepage)

  5. Search for "SocialSnap" and select "Instagram Feed"
  6. The feed will appear with your Instagram posts
  7. Click "Save" to publish

Tip: You can add the SocialSnap widget to multiple pages — homepage, product pages, about page, or any custom page.

4

Customize your feed

Customize the feed appearance directly in the theme editor or from the SocialSnap app settings.

Theme editor options. Click on the SocialSnap section in the theme editor to access:

  • Layout: Grid, Slider, or Circle (Stories-style)
  • Columns: 2–8 columns
  • Posts to show: how many posts to display
  • Spacing: gap between posts
  • Border radius: round the corners of posts
  • Show captions: display post captions on hover
  • Hover effect: zoom, fade, or none

App settings. For more options, go to Apps → SocialSnap → Settings:

  • Auto-sync: enable automatic updates (paid plans)
  • Sync interval: how often to check for new posts
  • Default layout: set defaults for new feeds

  2. Click "Create Feed"
  3. Give your feed a name (e.g. "Homepage Feed", "Product Page Feed")
  4. Select which posts to include or exclude
  5. Copy the Feed ID
  6. In the theme editor, paste the Feed ID in the widget settings
