Data deletion instructions

How to delete your Facebook and Instagram data from SocialSnap.

Delete your data from SocialSnap

SocialSnap respects your privacy and gives you full control over your data. If you've connected your Instagram account to SocialSnap via Facebook Login and want to delete your data, you have several options.

Option 1: Disconnect from the SocialSnap app

The easiest way to delete your data is through the SocialSnap app in your Shopify admin:

  1. Log in to your Shopify admin
  2. Go to Apps → SocialSnap
  3. Navigate to Settings
  4. Click Disconnect Instagram Account
  5. Confirm the disconnection

This will immediately delete:

  • Your Instagram account connection
  • All cached Instagram media
  • Access tokens
  • Feed configurations linked to that account

Option 2: Remove from Facebook settings

You can also remove SocialSnap's access through Facebook:

  1. Go to Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites
  2. Find SocialSnap in the list of apps
  3. Click Remove
  4. Check the box to "Delete posts, videos or events SocialSnap posted on your behalf" if applicable
  5. Click Remove to confirm

When you remove the app from Facebook and request data deletion, Facebook notifies us and we delete all associated data within 48 hours.

Option 3: Email request

You can request data deletion by email:

  1. Send an email to conversionlabsdev@gmail.com
  2. Use subject line: "Data Deletion Request - SocialSnap"
  3. Include the following information:
    • Your Shopify store URL
    • The Instagram username that was connected
    • The email address associated with your account

We'll process your request and delete all associated data within 48 hours. You'll receive a confirmation email once complete.

What data is deleted?

When you request data deletion, we remove the following:

Data type Description Deletion timeline
Instagram account info Username, account ID, profile data Immediate
Access tokens Facebook/Instagram OAuth tokens Immediate
Cached media Instagram posts, images, captions Within 48 hours
Feed settings Layout preferences, configurations Within 48 hours
Product tags Product associations on media Within 48 hours

Data retention after deletion

After deletion:

  • All personal data is permanently removed from our systems
  • Anonymized, aggregated analytics data (not personally identifiable) may be retained for service improvement
  • Backup systems are purged within 30 days
